EVO-Files no Sound
#1
Hi,

i am trying to archive my old hd-dvds with my pc since my hw-player is
broken and now i want to use xbmc as player.

The problem is that there is no sound outut when i try to play *EVO files.
Seems the player does not find the Audio stream...

So here is the log with several errors inside ;-) but i don´t know how to
handle.

Other HD Formats m2ts,mkv playing fine.
Please help.

found out that this only happens when Audio is "eac3".
Movie starts to play and then i get the message:
"failed to initialize audio device"

When i try to fast-forward in movie xbmc crashes to console >>>
Quote:there is no soundcard
there is no soundcard
there is no soundcard
xbmc.bin: DVDPlayerAudio.cpp:309: int CDCDPlayerAudio:: DecodeFrame(DVDAudioFrame&, bool): Assertion '0' failed.
Using Jaunty and Alsa V 1.0.20.

I dont know how to fix.... already re-installed ALSA and xbmc, also tried
precompiled build.

Any Idea?

the eac3-decoder in ffmpeg fails. check if ffplay from ffmpeg trunk has the same problem

Ticket added with short EVO-Sample so you can test.
Maybe its only a problem with my configuration.
