No audio in 9.04
#1
Alright, I'm new here, so forgive me if I inadvertently violate etiquette. I'm running XBMC 9.04 on Ubuntu Jaunty 64-bit and I have no audio on video playback or audio file playback, but I have menu sounds ("click"). Audio and video are run through HDMI on an ATI 4870. ALSA has been set up correctly to default to HDMI, and XBMC audio settings are analogue output with audio output device "default." I have tried the previous build of 8.10 and the audio plays fine, but I'd prefer a newer version that doesn't crash when I try to browse my network. Updated SVN builds have the same issue, and I have already tried killing PulseAudio with "pulseaudio -k" prior to running XBMC with no success. I, of course, have tried searching the forums and FAQs with little success, so now I am requesting assistance.
