damn actually it plays perfectly but there is another issue: as soon as I stop the video it goes back to the menu but leaves full screen and goes to windowed mode - is there a way around this too?

Hi...
i have the same problem... but i don't know how to install this patch.
i have a mini unbutu installation and then i used a script to install xbmc.
my problem is that the resolution allways is 1080i with 60hz.
i can not change it to 1080p or to 1080i 50hz or to 720p.
when i change the resolution in xbmc and then test the resolution, xbmc asks my if i want to keep the new resolution. when i answer with yes it says for example 1920*1080 24hz. but when i press check the resolution with my tv it´s still 1920*1080 60hz.
Hardware is the Zotac ion board and a Samsung LCD/Sony Bravia VPL-HW10.
