I just installed the latest nvidia 185 beta drivers and stupidly said yes to configuring x.

Now linux starts in safe graphics mode. I was using the xorg.conf from Olympia's guide that worked perfectly. Only problem is the link in his guide to xorg.conf is broken. I am using the P5N7A-VM mobo that he uses in the guide.

Can someone who is using the xorg.conf from that guide please pm me a link to download it or attach it to this thread.

ssh to the box and execute
sudo rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf
sudo nvidia-xconfig
and.. reboot or sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart

Turns out I still had the propreitory 180 drivers installed too... woops.. Uninstalled that and then ran your commands over SSH and im sorted!
