[WINDOWS] Live TV (Analog) watching in XBMC for Windows?
#1
Question
Hi all, this is my first post. I ussually don't even register on forums but XBMC just blown my head. it is awesome how simplicity and completeness marry in this wonderful piece of software.

First of all, I post here because although I searched, most of posts interesting me are for other systems.

I run a Windows XP machine, which will soon be put as a Media Center on my living room. The catch is, I want the PC (among other stuff) as a PVR (recording, scheduling, timeshifting...) the PC already has a Encore ENLTV-FM card which has a Phillips SAA 7134 (not sure about the number tho)

Here the internet is a bit sh*tty so Online videos and stream watching becomes unbearable.

OK: For those who want the flat facts and don't want to read much:

PC Specs:
Intel Pentium D @ 2.8gHz
RAM 1x 1Gb DDR2 @800mHz Kingston
HDD Western Digigal IDE 160Gb
TVT: Encore ENLTV-FM (Cable - FM - S-Video) [Analog TV!]
OS: Windows XP SP3

Need to know how.. (In order of Importance):
* Tune TV Channels
* Record
* EPG/TVguide (as tv_grab_ar and xmltv on linux)
* FM playback/record
* Using Bonjour Service (each family member has a PC with his/her own iTunes collection)

TV Card Compatible with (tested):
* ChirsTV
* SesamTV
* ENLTV
* TvTime (linux)

On linux it would be something like putting tvtime inside XBMC. I have _some_ experience on linux systems, but, since it would be for my whole family (including grandpa and little sis) I would like to take advantage of an easy set-up since i'm not always available.

PS: neither MythTV nor MediaPortal recognize my Tv Card.

Regards

Guille
