there is no way that i Know that you can load the fanart/images from the original album folder unless you have your music local in the same HDD XBMC is thats why this is like it is.

its in the wiki ? "only locally stored images for now..."

I think you misunderstood what i was aiming for (apart from them being in the same folder as the music)
I noticed while messing around getting this to work that if I had a few pics in the folder no matter what the name it displays them.
And the thought sprung to mind I could have my family pictures scrolling through as the music played.
I would not like to have to copy all the pictures into each separate artist folder though this would be a work around for the desired effect,
so was wondering if maybe there was some way of just having a background folder option maybe with on/off
like in the menu screens where you can pick one or a folder.
I must admit I have been lazy with this and just changed the default to the LP pic posted and only added a few of the actual pics for the cds...
but still love the effect and appriciate the effort your putting into all your great mods.

I noticed while messing around getting this to work that if I had a few pics in the folder no matter what the name it displays them.

that's write on one of the readme inside the cdArt pack MOD, since its an slideshow the names doesnt matter it will display all the images in the folder specified.
the multiimages control doesnt work for images store on a remote HDD or smb://share, just the largeimage control work for that but the slideshow wont work you have to specified only one image like fanart.jpg for example.

for your family slideshow to work you need to have those images locally, and specified the folder in the .xml

Ok I think I'm getting somewhere YEAH!
I changed

<imagepath>backdrops/artist_fanart/$INFO[MusicPlayer.Artist]</imagepath>

To

<imagepath>backdrops/artist_fanart/Random</imagepath>

And created a random folder in that path and dropped a few pictures in there as a test this works great BUT..... Always a but.
I'm sorry i would be lying if i said I have any idea how all this works you are a genius to figure all this stuff out.
The but is My pictures are not full screen even though they are HD Pictures any Ideas most welcome.

you could just change

<aspectratio>keep</aspectratio>

to

<aspectratio>stretch</aspectratio>

this will just stretch the pictures to fit your screen, so you may get distorted pictures.
