Hi, I have just installed xbmc live on my acer x1200 and the install went fine.

First of all, I tried looking through help section and doing a search on here and didnt find much...

I have the hdmi hooked up to my 5.1 avr through hdmi and i dont hear any audio. I also dont seem to hear any audio when I plug it directly into the tv. I have tried messing with the audio settings in xbmc to no avail...no sound...

Nevermind I got it, just have to set audio device AND passthough device to "hdmi". Just type it in. Works great. Just have to figure out how to get my wmc remote working.
