[Request] - HD Submenu Tag

I know this has been brought up before but I thought I'd make mention again. With the new Native flagging mod available for Auriga, would it be possible to have all HD content (I guess 480p or >) be separated automatically by reading this information in XBMC? It would be great to have something like the "recents" tab but including HD content only. Is this something that's achievable through a simple mod?

Is there any interest in this feature? I think it'd be useful.

I would like to second (and third) this request. Over the years I have been assembling my movie collection and lately been adding HD versions of many of my SD movies. As such, I would love to have a straightforward way of only browsing my HD movies whenever I want to. Also, not every PC in my house can playback HD, so it would be another great way to keep my wife from accidentally playing a movie that stutters and eventually hangs the system.

My two cents.....

480p is HD

480i = SD
Hardware: Revo 3610 + SSD - Harmony 700 Remote
Software: XBMCBuntu Gotham - Sickbeard - SabNZBd+

nope

DVD = 480 i/p NTSC or 576 i/p PAL
720p / 1080i = HDTV
1080p = FULL HD

so for this case anything above 720p would be classed as HD

Wrong 480p and 576p have never been termed as HD if broadcast in either of those formats it might be referred to as EDTV

I've got Xvids that are 704x480 and 720x576 and I would never call those HD

Yep: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-definition_television

I also agree that it would be nice to have this as a non-smart playlist feature.

I'd rather not turn this into an argument of what is and isn't hd but I did hesistate when posting 480p or >. Haha. The only reason I put 480+ is because I thought of AMT and how they list their movies.

Terminator: Salvation - HD Trailers > 480p/720p/1080p

Not a big deal but whatever. Anyway...

Anyone care to get started on this implementation? Haha.

I just added a custom genre to all my HD movies 'bluray' or something.
Then i choose genres from my movies submenu and choose bluray and I can browse all my HD's
I think you can even add it to your submenu if you're a programmer.

It will be great to add another sub menu like genres. The option to create a playlist of hd content is too long way.
