When you pause, and the screen saver kicks in the pause popup stays on the screen. This could cause potential BURN IN with plasma TV's.

I'm pretty sure that's a skin issue. Which skin are you using?

There is also the option to change the screen saver to blank the screen. As well the image that's on the screen continues to be displayed along with the pause info box.
