All my settings have reset. Latest SVN bug?
#1
I have just updated my XBMC from the svn by adding the PPA (deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc-svn/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc-svn/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main) to my source.list and doing

sudo apt-get install xbmc

When I restarted the PC all my settings had been restored to default as though it was a fresh install. I had a look on he drive and the .xbmc folder reflected this, my previous folder had been renamed .xbmc.previous.

I messed things up a bit cos I only had ftp access so I ended up reinstalling the whole of XBMC from a format. The same thing appears to have happened again when I updated from the SVN. This time my folder names haven't been changed but I assume they probably would be if I changed any settings. I don't want that to happen again.

What is going on, is this a bug with the latest SVN? Perhaps I have used the wrong method to update. Most importantly, how do I get it back to normal without having to format again?

My log if useful
