Hi,
I've spent the last week trying to install/configure Ubuntu as a HTPC (using the alternate installer CD to get software RAID). It was certainly no "vanilla install", but that's another topic.
I eventually got everything working the way I wanted, and added some sources to XBMC. I then clicked one of my media files (in XBMC), and the whole system hanged. I switched to terminal and rebooted, it wanted to a file system check, it tried, failed, told me to do it manually. I did, some error, rebooted and now I'm getting the "grub 17 error".
I guess this is somehow related to Ubuntu, possibly the software RAID, but I thought I should check since the crash actually happened in XBMC. Anyone seen anything like this?
Thanks!
