After installing XBMC, I am not able to start it. It is a selection under Applications> Multimedia, but when selected nothing happens. Also typing xbmc in terminal doesn't start the program. Here are my details:
Distro: Ubuntu 9.10 up to date 2010-08-08
Architecture: i686
Install: In a Terminal window I entered
sudo apt-get install python-software-properties pkg-config
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:team-xbmc
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xbmc xbmc-standalone
sudo apt-get update
SVN: Not known
