For what purpose would it "work"? How is it connected to the machine?

get a case without lcd and spend the saved money for an ipod touch as a remote. Smile

its this device connected by USB:

Maybe xbmc can use it for displaying status info?

From what I can see on the Zalman website it is a stand alone device and would have software in Windows that would interact with other applications. With that taken into consideration it's probably possible but the LCD would have to be aware of XBMC in order to interact with it.

I wouldn't count on it working like you would expect it to in Linux. It's likely that there is no software available for Linux.

Hi ubuntux

I have recently purchased the same case and found the supplied software for the touchscreen to be very poor

Have always loved xbmc so if it could work with the touchscreen that would be fantastic

Did you get any further forward with your research?

Cheers

Did you ever get the Zalman LCD screen working with xbmc? Anything would be better then a blank screen.
