When exporting the library to several files, and with overwrite option on, I get an error message. The debug log says:

What could be wrong?

Isn't the xbox supported anymore? I'm using the latest build T3CH XBMC 2009-06-27 SVN rev21142..

problem is the length of the filenames and no i do not believe the export code takes it into consideration

But the real filename is sph-adev204.rar, sph-adev204.r00, sph-adev204.r01, etc. Maby a stupid question, but why doesn't xbmc use the real filename, instead of the filename inside the rar-files?

Since there was no reply on my post above, I have a new question:

Would it be possible to change the export code so that it excludes long filenames?

real filenames? so you're enjoying watchinig your rar files are you. sure, patch welcome, but xbox has been abandoned by all but one guy

Is this really a Xbox bug? It seems to me that this can happen if you use any fileserver with a filesystem that doesnt support long filenames....

which was a problem back in 1990. you should replace your dos fileserver.

All I'm asking is to not break the export if there is an error. I have most of my media on a nas which should be exported correctly. But if there is a error when exporting, all .nfo export fails. Not only the file that has a problem...

something we have adressed in newer revisions. on the platforms we keep dev'ing for

Am I missing something here? The latest T3CH build is from 2009-06-27, rev21142. Have you stopped since then?

we stopped after atlantis. back in oct 2008. anything else is up to arnova and he has not been very active lately (prob summer time, or he's fed up, who knows, the point is the xbox stopped being something we as a team care to target back then).

I've recently run into a similar problem, however I'm not storing movies of the xbox. It looks like the xbox is failing to export the nfo file because it can't write it to the cache (Z:\) due to the long file name. Is there any way around this? It's related to another post of mine.
