Upgrade Live kernel to 2.6.30?
#1
I've seen some older posts saying you can't upgrade Live's kernel without bricking it. This is due to the code being written exclusively for 2.6.28-11 or some such thing.

I need a module that's built in to 2.6.29 and newer. Is there any way yet to upgrade?

Cheers,

Pete

Yeah, some modules are compiled against specific kernel, i.e graphics drivers and such.

Next Live release will sport the newer kernel iirc so if you wait you'll get it eventually Smile

Cheers,
Tobias
