Big Grin
Heya guys! =)

I have sooo missed my XBMC since my trusty old XBOX died a couple of years ago...

So, today my hardware for my new XBMC setup got delivered.

The hardware is:

Zotac ION-ITX-B & 4GB RAM Offer Bundle
30GB OCZ Solid 2.5in SATA II Solid State Disk
Compucase 8K07 Mini-ITX Case - Black
Microsoft MCE Remote, USB (HP Vendored)
Logitech Dinovo Edge

Downloaded the XBMC Live image. Installed it to the SSD disc from at external DVD drive.

Fired up the box, using the HDMI for video, Spdif for surround and analogue sound output for stereo MP3 playback.

Changed the Render Method to VDPAU (The onboard NVIDIA GFX is pretty cool!)

The Result:

Everything works!
no fuzz, no remote problems, no 1080P playback studder, no sound issues.. Smile

Thank you for giving us XBMC!

so... anyone wanna buy my crappy Popcorn hour? :p

Congrats!

Out of curiosity.. what was your experience like with the CompuCase 8K07? I really like this case and I'm probably going to pick one up.. any cons I should know about before taking the plunge?

Krisco: I really like the casing, it's a big bigger than i initially would have bought for my TV room. But even so i'm really happy with it and it has all the features on front and psu included.

jarod71: Everything is bought at mini-itx:

thanks for the links, kind of expensive. is there a U.S. vendor anywhere that sells that board and cpu? I like it, hopefully oneday I will build one as well. I am still waiting as I am hpeful they will figure out access to the GPU on appletv. If they do not soon, I may go this route. I just can't give up my xbox untill there is a hassle free way to build a set top box. what you have is ideal. And I have seen the other solutions (popcorn hr etc) and just can't part with xbmc. I would not want to deal with any other solution out there.

Newegg is an excellent vendor, I have had nothing but good experience with them.
