[LINUX] Adjust refresh rate switches to wrong refresh raste for NTSC DVDs
#1
Hello,

I have some trouble with playing NTSC DVDs. My Environment is:

XBMC: rev 22095 checked out of SVN and compiled with no specific configure switches
Distri: Debian Testing i686 up to date 2009-08-10
Debug Log: http://pastebin.com/m13aff592

Error Description:

XBMC is running at 1920x1080@60 and is configured to switch the refresh rate according to the framrate of the video. This works well for mkv files. XBMC switches to 24hz and plays them.

If I play NTSC DVD, XBMC switches to 50hz which results in a choppy playback. If you have a look at the debug log line 516 you see that he video is reported with a framerate of 25 fps which is wrong. The DVD has a framerate of 23.976 fps. I crosschecked this with at least five NTSC DVDs and some NTSC DVD ISO images. All of them are reported with an incorect framerate of 25 fps and therefore XBMC switches the screen to 50hz.

If I mount the DVD or the ISO Image and play one of it's VOB files XBMC switches to the corect refreshrate of 60Hz for NTSC. So it seems there is something wrong with the parsing of the DVDs.

Does someone have the same issue, or is this something in my configuration? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Chrissi
