I hvae used XBMC for XBOX for years but have today bought an ASROCK and installed XBMC live.

So far so good but I can't for the life of me figure out gow to install new skins. I have tried telnetting to the ASROCK using the Ip as I would with the xbox version but this doesn't work.

I have also tried checing the wiki but no luck either

Things todo after installing XBMC Live:

1. Ctrl-alt-f1/f2/f3 switches to a free terminal.
2. Login with xbmc/xbmc
3. type following commands:

sudo su
apt-get install mc openssh-server

4. On the (windows) pc download Putty ssh client: http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/late.../putty.exe
5. Use putty to connect to your xbmc box.

Telnet is old and never used on any decent linux install, it's not secure. SSH replaces it I installed 'mc' as you might recognize it as a decent 'commander' type tool if you need one.
