Input device for controlling XBMC
#1
Hello people,

I'm sketching on a kitchen computer project built on XBMC and Ubuntu and have some questions.

A requirement is that I should not have to use a keyboard for the daily use. To make matters a bit more complicated, I also want to be able to run a web browser, which is not possible from XBMC.

The input options I'm considering are:

1) Touchscreen. Do these work well with Ubuntu and XBMC? I find fairly little information on the subject, and few touchscreen TFT monitors seem to be for sale on the market.

2) Touchpad. This could be a neat solution but once again, I don't see that many touchpads designed for stationary computers.

3) Remote control. Works well with XBMC but maybe not for running FireFox?

I'd be happy for any thoughts on this matter.
