Thanks for the update!

If you are thinking of integrating other photographic sites, may I suggest a couple that I like:

BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_pictures/default.stm

and The Guardian http://www.guardian.co.uk/inpictures

Hello Sphere,
As qualar pointed out earlier in this thread, the script is not working with rapier skin. Not sure though, if should I ask your's or rapier author's help... Sad
Thank you big time, for this great addon!

Tash

Hi,

I have made a new version and would be happy if some of you could test it before I submit it to the official repo.
The biggest new thing is that it is now possible to have multiple sources (websites) and you can switch between them with the up- and down-key.

Addon Description:
You can switch the source with up and down, switch the album with left and right, with the select-key you can enter an album to view its content.
Picture Downloading is possible with the context menu key.
Currently the following Sources are included:
- Boston.com: The Big Picture
- Boston.com: The Big Shot
- Sacramento Bee: The Frame
- Wallstreetjournal: The Photo Journal

This is the changelog:
1.3.0
Added: The possibility to get albums/images from more than one website (switch source)
Added: New Scraper 'Wallstreetjournal: The Photo Journal'
Added: New Scraper 'Boston.com: The Big Shot'
Added: New Scraper 'Sacramento Bee: The Frame'
Changed: The Layout and content of the help texts
Fixed: TBP-Scraper: Remove the image-number within the description text
Fixed: TBP-Scraper: removed #-sign at the end of the picture
Improved: Changes to the icon.png (more padding)

You can download this version here and you have to install it via "Settings->System->Addons->Install from zip File": http://sphere-xbmc-addons.googlecode.com...0-beta.zip

Feedback is welcome Smile

WOW, thanks for your work. I've made a short test, and it works like a charm.

Hi, really like your addon but I also happen to like the Alaska skin.

Unfortunately both won't work together. Please see here and check for the solution here (thanks to Hitcher, creator of the Alaska skin). Is it possible to fix this?

Sure, thanks for (asking for) the fix Smile

I updated the addon, could you test it?

sphere and rwparris, thanks a lot for making this. I wanted an add-on like this after seeing it on Boxee. I actually just recenlty found out that there is one around for XBMC now too, great stuff Smile

I also have a request, is there anything you can add to the script that would allow skinning support? I don't have any idea what is required for this on the script's end, all I know is that some add-ons can be skinned by the skinner adding an xml to their skin and setting up the filename like:

script-addon-main.xml

Any chance of looking into this?

Hi

I will have a Look at this - but I don't See much benefit for this because there are not much things to do for skinners. At least in the current version.... I am working on a newer Version which provides the Option to Filter categories for Each source (website) - there i use the dialog.Select Method which uses the Skin's style automatically.

Thanks Sphere, appreciate it. Well, the benefit would not necessarily have to do with functions but more with being able to make the script feel more integrated with a specific skin.

For instance see the (unfinished) example below. The functions and usage are the same but it fits in better visually with my skin, giving it a more integrated feel.

I did this by modifying the original xml but I would of course much prefer leaving that intact and provide my own xml in the skin.

In any case, thanks for looking into it.

Greetings,
Jeroen
