How do I change XBMC's default resolution from outside the program?
#1
Noob-ish Linux question here.

I somehow managed to get XBMC into a resolution that causes it to crash immediately upon starting the program. It actually hard-locks the entire (Ubuntu) system when I try to open the program, even when I use 'XBMC -fs' from the terminal.

Can someone point me to where I can change a config file to get it to start in a nice 800x600 window? Thanks!

delete /.xbmc/userdata/guisettings.xml

That's not really the best solution.
You can simply edit the guisettings.xml file and change the resolution inside..
