bad quality when playing DVD in ATV
#1
Sad
I have installed XBMC as part of ATV Flash. I copy of ripped DVD (full size, not compressed) and ftp'ed to ATV disk. When playing the DVD video quality is not really good, I see horizontal line breaking. Audio quality is ok. I played the same DVD using NitoTV dvd player and it works fine. I'd appreciate if someone can please let me know what settings should I look at.

Thanks !!

Turn on vsync.

thanks, could you please tell me where is this vsync setting ?

also, when start to play a DVD the video is bumpy. I have to go to video settings and play with the interlaced handling ? I have now set as "bob". what should be the correct setting ?

same as for the Video Scaling method? I have it now as "nearest neighbour".

One more about DVDs? I don't see the DVD thumbs, only see a camcorder icon for all movies. I checked the library option is enabled. is there anything I am missing ? i tried with Amazon and IMDb scrapers

Thanks for your help.

You should set the scaler to bilinear unless you turned on high quality upscaling.

What do you mean by bumpy?
