This patch will disable the window system screensaver when xbmc is running and enable it back again when xbmc quits.

I would love to see this patch expanded for linux and OSX.

As Always with all my patches, I perfer to have some comments before I create a trac.

The want for discussion of your patches is understood, but that is exactly what trac is for. You should submit there, and you'll get quality feedback from the devs about it. If it's absolutely terrible, you'll get a 'thanks anyway' and ticket closed, no worse.

We prefer that you do it this way so that we don't have to monitor the forums for good code. There's a much higher signal-to-noise over there...

this patch unecessary. xbmc already disable system screensaver under win32 after r19331. i think you can try r23268.

well, as I already said, I am running XBMCSetup-Rev23196-dx.exe

And still the screensaver from windows 7 kicks in!

I watched a movie of 35 minutes and no screensaver kicked in. I updated my system to Ikons build XBMCSetup-Rev23196-dx.

My windows screensaver is set to 3 minutes and I had no more problems.
