I did a serch and found no reference to these power strips.
I know I'm not the only one that would like to turn off their Atv when they arent using it. Since we can have the Atv boot into XBMC on startup I figured this is a great idea. I use on of these in my MAME machine to control the tv in my arcade. I am going to order another one once I type this thread.
These power strips have a outlet that is labeled "control outlet" This would be your TV. Other outlets on the power strip are "switched outlets". So what would happen is you plug the Atv into a switched outlet plug and your tv into the control plug. When your tv is on the Atv is on. If you turn off your tv the Atv turns off. The power strips have a way of sensing current from the control plug which turns on or off the switched plugs.
A lot of guys in the arcade community use the Smartstrip ones, but Amazon also has APC ones too.
