Hello i'm using xbmc on ubuntu jaunty.

I have a problem where xbmc is deleting movies and shows from my harddrive without me knowing it.

I don't know when or how. I just know that it is gone.

Xbmc isn't deleting anything unless you or someone else is doing it on purpose or out of ignorance.
There's an option to allow deletion which you should disable.
You should also smack the hell out of anyone who uses your media system who is stupid enough to delete things.
