Hi there, I opened this thread in order to make some clarifications.
As a noob I was really flattered by the Aeon skin, and got a Revo just for that.
It will be my home player.

I was a bit overwhelmed instead by the variety and quantity of mods (or progress? - This is what this thread is about).
I have installed many "Aeon skins" and still, besides some obvious (are they really SO obvious?) differences I don't really know
what the differences are.

Also it is not yet clear if Auriga is the modification of STARK or a progress from the original AEON.
So what I would like to do is make a thread for some clearness.

For example


AEON ALPHA ===> AEON STARK ===> AEON AURIGA

AEON AURIGA ===> AEON SHOWMIX (mod)

AEON AURIGA ===> AEON Phil (mod)


Then something like:


AEON ALPHA (original AEON):
---------------------------
This is the original AEON, it has X,Y and Z features
It is/isn't supported, etc...
You can download it here.

AEON STARK (progress from ALPHA):
------------------------------------------
This is the first AEON mod, it has X,y and z features and has D,F G that the original has not got.
It is/isn't supported, etc...

Great idea, was actually thinking the same thing.

I'm also new to the AEON skin (a bit late, i know) and would love some clarification aswell!

First there was the original Aeon alpha. Then came stark. Auriga was a continuation and the most of the mods (hitcher, showmix etc) came from Auriga.

this is exatcly what I wanted to do, seems it's already done.
Minor things are not listied tough, really little things, for example the auriga has showcase for tv shows, but it won't show the title name under the thumb, just the episode number...

or might that be just me being a noob?

There are probably a LOT of little items like that that were not documented or possibly with just a mention in a thread somewhere.

Keep in mind Auriga hasn't been touched since July 7 whereas most of the 'mod' versions have been in continual development since then.

Download the main ones and just give them each a spin. I'm sure one will stand out for you...
