Hi,

Just received my new ION 330!

I thought I'd try the shortcut and install the latest live (9.04.1) as a base to get me up and running straight away.

My problem is no sound on the SPDIF. I can see in alsamixer that there are 4 ies958 devices marked iec958,pcm,1 & 2. All are unmuted <00>

XBMC is set to digital output but my audio processor does not report a stream to lock to (PCM,DD,DTS etc)

I have a full 9.04 ubuntu with XBMC on aother PC with a SB live out and the audio processor locks onto this fine.

I'm guessing its a configuration issue with the live default setting?

search through the installl asrock guides. they tell you how to unmute it and save the settings

According to what I've seen in the guides, the iec channels are not muted.
<mm>=Mute
<00>=Unmute

Unless I'm missing something else??
