Crash help

Hello,

(relevant logs and info provided after explanation)

I have xbmc installed on appletv. I have no issues when watching iso file, or streaming music.

However, when I finish watching an iso and hit menu to take me back to the home screen, throw the remote down, and walk back the hallway.... a few minutes later I hear the apple tv reboot animation....

Not sure what is going on...

Also the machine will reboot after a playlist is done. Last song ends, and machine reboots.

Thanks in advance.

If I meant to say XBMC's screensaver, I would have said that. Some TV's have a built in screensaver that detects then the image is static and then will blank the screen. Does your TV have such a setting?

It is a sony sxrd kds-50A2000 and I cannot find any reference to screensaver mode in the manual, or in the menu....

Any other ideas?

I guess I could go through and turn add-ons off one by one.

vassilios10, contrary to populate option, there are NOT teams of users/developers just sitting around waiting to respond to posts on the forums. We all have our own projects both with XBMC and elsewhere. And we do have our private lives too.

Snippy posts are a sure way to get ignored.

If the screeen saver is enabled under the AppleTV, turn if off.

I found that if I set the XBMC to "black", it would shutdown the appletv, so I changed it to "dim" and set it to the lowest setting (10% iirc).

perhaps you are having the same problem?

Thanks for the additional comments. I have been using boxee in the interim.

I do have it set to "black". Will give that a try.
