Apple TV Nativity

Does anyone know how to install XBMC nativity on the Apple TV? I have an Apple TV with a dead hard drive. If I can't get it repaired by Apple under warranty then I would like to put a new hard drive in and XBMC on it. Anyone have any thoughts?

Your question makes no sense, both XBMC for Mac and XBMC and Linux are applications and need an operating system to function.

Your choice is a) recreate a disk with the AppleTV OS on it, b) create a disk with Linux on it. See:

You do not need the original AppleTV hard drive contents, you can re-create it from scratch. The above links have the info required.

The way I read the install for Apple TV was it used the Apple TV OS and addes an option for the XBMC. Right now, I have an Apple TV with no OS (bad hard drive, won't boot up). I am going to try and get it fixed by Apple but if I can't then I need to find something else to put on it.
