Yes. I uninstalled Candelair, tried the remote, didn't work, reinstalled Candelair, tried the remote, didn't work. It will work with OSX if I activate the leopard compatibility mode but not if that mode is deactivated.

Thanks in advance for the help.

What's the leopard compatibility mode?
Candelair is _not_ needed on 10.6.2. Just uninstall it (reboot needed). Then launch up xbmc, check if remote works and pastebin xbmc.log if it doesn't.

Apple Remote still doesn't work after I removed Candelair and rebooted. xbmc.log at address below. Sorry if that is a bad pastebin site. My first try Huh

pastebin is fine, but I don't see anything wrong.
Do you have AppleRemote enabled/set to standard in Settings->System?
Another thing you could check if another helper is already running. Open up a terminal and do
Code:
ps aux | grep -i helper

Finally I'd try to manually launch XBMCHelper and see what it says. In terminal do
Code:
/Applications/XBMC.app/Contents/Resources/XBMC/tools/osx/XBMCHelper -v

cheers,
mdd

It looks like iTunesHelper is running. How can I stop that?

Another XBMCHelper or PlexHelper. iTunesHelper is not a concern.

uhm, that helper you're using is quite old (I think it's the Atlantis version).
Sure you're running a current version of XBMC?

How do I use a more recent version of XBMCHelper?

Thanks

Edit: I installed 9.11.Alpha2 and all works. I still have the question about using a different version of XBMCHelper though... Was the version of XBMCHelper that I was using not associated with the version of XBMC that I was using?

I can't get my remote to work either. XBMC 9.11 Beta 1 on 10.6.2 on a Core 2 Duo mini.

Candelair uninstalled and rebooted.
