I think I need some understanding here, can someone clear up this mystery for me?
I'm looking at a DVD in ffmpg, and it tells me
Aspect ratio 4/3 (TV)
Interlaced, chroma format: 4:2:0
Size [720 x 480] 29.97 fps 2.00
4/3 = 1.33... but 720/480 = 1.5
1.33 <> 1.5!!
Could someone explain how that works?
Also, if I manually tag the movie's .nfo file with a width of 720 and a height of 480, I get a 580p meta icon!
Maybe that would explain why all my old SD xvid movies that are only 200-300 pixels high all show up as 480...
