I'm using a Dell Desktop with a ATI4350 right now with XBMC and it's fine for SD and HD content, but I wanted something smaller and I ordered the revo 1600, now is the only way to have it play 720p stuff to go Linuix or can XP handle it? Also I want to migrate my existing setup from the desktop to the Revo will that be possible?

You'll need linux, at least if you want hardware acceleration. The CPU might be able to decode some 720p stuff but I wouldn't count on it.
