Ive installed the alfa from ppc on an ubuntu karmic. when I start up it consumes 100% cpu in the menues, if I changed to some very simple theme, like mint for example it starts to work faster and I can move around in the menues much quicker. Anyone know why?

hmm.. could be. I have an nvidia driver. Just reinstalled the computer with ubuntu 9.04 that had been working perfectly before but Its eating 100% and is dead slow on that one as well. I think there where a new nvidia relase of drivers about a week ago that might have caused it.. have to see if I can downgrade drivers tonight.
