I would like to setup my HTPC by Kubuntu 9.10 and XBMC.
Now, I installed Kubuntu and xbmc ready, and work...
but I have no idea to start MCE remote in xbmc
I don't know how and where start...
please help me.
My MCE remote is HP MCE remote
name in windows is Philips eHome Infrared Reciver.

If you have not installed lirc that will maybe be enough.

I installed LIRC, but it not work.
I checked all file (ex:hardware and lircd.conf) in /etc/lirc folder
but they are empty, seems not setup my mce remote corrctly.

I think that maybe I installed wrong lirc,
could you please teach me or where has documents about this?

But it is a bit hard to read.

You need install lirc and when asked select remote model.
To configure
dpkg-reconfigure lirc

To install
sudo apt-get install lirc
