Hello. This is my first post, and I am ashamed to ask a question on my first post.

But the shame aside, here goes the question.

Has anyone used HP MCE IR receiver/remote such as the one shown in above link in XP?

It mentions MCE, Vista, and 7, but no XP.

I have used search, but had no luck finding such an answer.

As this is not XBMC-specific question, I am not sure if this is the right place to post. I am sorry if it isn't.

This should work fine. I have an HP USB IR receiver which looks like the one pictured (the HP remote I have is an older version). I am using this with Windows XP. But unless you're using XP Media Center Edition, it won't recognize it when you plug it in. You need to first download/install the drivers. You can find a link to download them here:
