"Built on Nov 6 2009 (SVN:24368)", that's not last nights build. That was 8 days ago (http://trac.xbmc.org/changeset/24368).

"no audio in 5.1 menus or anything", 5.1 menus? what does that mean? I'm guessing you might mean 5.1 audio during play back but the "menus" is throwing me.

Camelot 9.11.a2 tagged at http://trac.xbmc.org/changeset/24543. Try that and if you have problems, please try to be a little clearer on what the issue is. We are not mind readers and have tens of posts to attend. Sorry but I'm just not going to try and guess, it takes too much time.

Cricky you boys are tetchy. The pastebin I linked too was from the build of 'latest nightly build' from the Unofficial XBMC download page thing.

And sorry for the confusion . I get no sound at all from it, no audio in menus, films. tvshows music etc. its like its on mute.

I will try the one you have linked to.

Much better description Smile Try 9.11.a2, it's at http://sourceforge.net/projects/xbmc/fil...g/download

Today has been a bad day. Spent most of the day inside macports getting it building on SL (10.6), then had a 1.7TB disk array that's been running for 3 years die, ouch.

Here is the pastebin:

No audio of any kind and harmony remote does not work, I tried setting it to harmony remote, and apple standard.

No dice.

Right sorry got the harmony going. But its the same issue and relates back to your discussion Dev about making XBMC more mac friendly.

In essence I had to run the latest XBMC then turn off remote. Quit the application, open activity monitor find the still running xbmc helper, force quit it. Relaunch XBMC turn the remote function back on, quit XBMC and then relaunch it.

I am starting to suspect the audio thing is the skin not xbmc, as videos are now working.

So all in all I am a happy bunny back on the bleeding edge Wink

navigation sounds are disabled in both alphas and might stay that way for release, there's a nasty hang thats proving difficult to fix. That might be your missing audio in the skin.

Do you have XBMCHelper set to stay running ?

No I turn that off when I am doing what I coin 'the remote dance' I try all the settings between quits but usually killing it in activity monitor is part way to a fix.
