This happens no matter how I use the software on either display. How can I fix this? I have it installed in portable mode because when I installed it in default mode I got the infamous compatibility window after the install and I read on the win7 forums that this does not happen when installed in portable mode.

btw...I JUST started using this software so it didn't work previously and then just suddenly start happening as I now realize the title might suggest.

If you are running in portable mode and you are not running as an administrator, then XBMC will not be able to save anything.

There is no reason to run in portable mode at all. Remove the -p from the shortcuts and all will be good.
