How to I pull up a terminal in XBMC Live? I simply want to modify the menu file so XBMC will mount my local disk with all my movies on it.

Welcome the forums, the easiest way is to press alt+fX and it should get a terminal.
You can also ssh in (putty is a good tool on windows) and do it from remote.
Cheers,
Tobias

Thanks. I tried it remotely but was not able to change the file. Permissions. I was unable to elevate my priviliges so I want to try it directly.
