XBMC Crashes to Desktop When opening MKV's
#1
Hi there. I've got a HTPC running Ubuntu 9.10 and running an XBMC build from yesterday, afaik, and whenever I open any MKV file, it completely shuts down and goes to desktop.

I'd paste a log but it's literally a 23M file that appears to be full of this

16:11:19 T:2350152560 M:1744003072 ERROR: ffmpeg[8C147B70]: [psxstr] Invalid parameters 0 0 0
16:11:19 T:2350152560 M:1744003072 ERROR: ffmpeg[8C147B70]: [psxstr] Invalid parameters 0 0 0
16:11:19 T:2350152560 M:1744003072 ERROR: ffmpeg[8C147B70]: [psxstr] Invalid parameters 0 0 0

Any ideas?

We need at least the top few hundred lines... until the error starts repeating itself.

As I mentioned, it does go on repeating itself for approximately 232k lines until it just ends.

The video driver you are using claims not to support OpenGL 2.0.

It pains me to say it, but have you tried ATI's blob?

I apologize, but I have no idea what ATI's blob is. Care to enlighten me and I'll give it a shot at the risk of making you ill Smile

I just mean try using ATI's linux drivers (you're currently using the opensource community drivers - and their 3D implementation is lacking).

If you're using Ubuntu it'll be under 'System->Administration->Hardware Drivers' i think.
