I posted this yesterday in the General forum but no replies. Hopefully in the Windows specific area, I'll get at least one...

I've found something I'm not sure about in the 9.11 beta1 version on Windows.

Previously, with 9.0.4 Babylon, I could export my movie library and XBMC would generate all the NFOs, fanart, tbn's etc. in each movie folder.
If I then quit XBMC and deleted the cached thumbnail folders, XBMC would regenerate them the next time it started. My presumption was that XBMC was taking the exported fanart and thumbnails from the movie folders and repopulating the cache.

With 9.11 Beta1, if I export, delete the thumbnail cache and restart XBMC, all the fanart and thumbnails are now missing from the library views. Oddly, if I open the Information screen for a movie, the thumbs & fanart are all there - and this seems to kickstart XBMC into showing them correctly when I next go into the library view.

What is going on?

Any help would be appreciated.

PS. This happens in both the COnfluence and PM.3D skins

I'm having problems with thumbnails on TV shows and movies too. It takes a long time for them to appear and when they do, if I open an episode and go back to the menus, they are missing again. They will then reappear after a few seconds. Its like its not keeping them stored.

I have a similar problem. Some of my shows have thumbnails visible as I browse through my library, and some do not. The ones that doesn't, if I look at the info of the episode then it will indeed display the thumbnail. When I exit the info screen, the thumbnail for that episode is still blank until I completely exit out to the main menu and come back into my library. Then the thumbnail will show up.

I'm running XBMC 9.11 Beta 1 Build R24883 on Windows 7 Enterprise 32bit, AMD processor, 1 gig of Ram and a Nvidia 8600.

And yes the avi's are ok, they play fine in every player including the XBMC.

I think my problem is different. Once I've 'refreshed' the thumbs/fanart by going into the Information screen, they don't go away again (until I delete the cache, that is).
Anyway - looks like no-one has an answer to this problem yet. I guess I'll stick with Babylon.
