I have loaded XBMC on my TV with the latest version. I have added my MythTV Backend configuration and can see the channels and recordings and movies and with time even the icons change to show a first frame. Here is where things fall apart though, I can't play any of the content. Anytime I try to it gives me an error of:

Playback Failed
One or more items failed to play.
Play mode aborted.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

My MythTV Backend is version 0.22, does that have an impact?

did you add your backend to /etc/hosts ?
