Acer Revo Spec
#1
Hi all,

I'm looking at replacing my old xbox+xbmc setup with some new hardware to take advantage of HD content and the Aeon skin. So far, the Acer Revo appears a worthy candidate however I'm unsure which version is required to support 1080p playback.

Single core (230) or dual core (330)?
RAM requirements?
CPU speed?
GPU?

I don't want to spend £300 on an all singing all dancing dual core, 4GB system if it's unnecessary.

Thanks.

Single core cpu and 2gb of ram plays 1080p amazingly Smile I paid around £170 for my revo from ebuyer if that helps.

I'm using the single core Revo with 2gig ram and no issues with 1080p content running xbmc live

Single core revo is all that is needed and the 1gb version is fine.

That being said, you can pick up the dual core version for about £150ish now if you do some hunting around.

And this one would be fine:

The fact that it is the NVidia ION LE wouldnt affect XBMC on it would it?
