I have XBMC Live 9.04 running on Acer Aspire Revo 1GB. I want to try dropping the resolution from the 1920x1080 native res of my screen to 720p (I'm getting a lot of hanging when starting videos and have read elsewhere this could be due to lack of video memory - hence dropping the res). Changing the setting under Appearance keeps screen res the same but limits all the action to the top left of the panel. I think I have to change xorg.conf but don't know what to set.

Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.
