OSD keyboard not working with remote - Beta 1 / 2
#1
Yes, the OSD keyboard, example: "add source" and further on it asks for user and password. This keyboard dont work with remote (mceusb) only with a real keyboard connected..

It worked with the alphas but not with the betas..

This is with Live version but i guess its the same with the usual linux one.

"don't work" how? You can't navigate within the virtual keyboard?

I'm getting the same problem on the windows version, you can select the the OSD keyboard with a mouse, or just type with a normal keyboard, but you can't navigate the osd keyboard with a remote.

Then turn on "My remote sends keyboard presses" in settings.

Is it just me, or does this option not exist anywhere within the settings menu in the latest RC1 for Windows? (yes, wrong forum, but still)

Please ignore the following post, it serves only to document my stupidity. I was downloading the "stable build" when I meant to install RC1. I'm a moron.

Thanks, this is exactly what I found in another thread but it doesn't seem to exist (at least using Mediastream in RC1 as it's installed on my machine). All I have under Settings->System are:

Hardware
- Enable debug logging
- Shutdown function timer
- Shutdown Function

Autoplay
- Autoplay DVD-Video
- Autoplay VCD/SVCD
- Autoplay Audio-CD
- Autoplay videos
- Autoplay music
- Autoplay pictures

Audio Hardware
- Audio output
- Dolby Digital (AC3) capable receiver
- DTS Capable Receiver
- Audio output device
- Downmix multichannel audio to stereo

Master Lock
- Master lock code and settings
- Ask for master lock code on startup
- Shutdown system if Master Lock retries exceeded
- Entering master lock code always enables master mode
- Use lock on login screen

That's it. No Input menu.

This according to the info screen is running:
XBMC 9.04.1R20672
Mediastream V1.00 (Sun 26/04/2009), SVN-R2121

Strange because I installed the latest version after downloading it but I recall that should be 9.11.

Maybe I have a bigger problem here if my XBMC is not being updated by installing over my old version.

Thanks.
