Faster Fast Forward ?

Hi guys...

I used to be an xbmc fan at the ages of xbox version 1.

Now, I just ordered a nettop from Zotac. The Zotac Mag.

I will receive it soon and after some reading I decided to install XBMC for Linux.

Is it best to install Ubuntu 9.10 desktop edition or the minimal install ?

Plus one of my hickup is the limitation of xmbc to fast forward (FF) at a maximum of 32X speed... Is there a way to add more speeds of tune that port via xml editing or something ?

Thanks a lot

I think that the up and down buttons fast forward - rewind 10%, while left and right fast forward - rewind 1%, or simmillar. Give it a try.

I think Up and Down from keyboar and remote FF-FRW by 10%. Left and Write FF-FRW by 1%. Give it a try.

I remembered using left/right keys on xbox dpad to fast forward (kind of) faster...

I will be trying when I get my Zotac Mag.

If ncix can ship it ! :-(

** I will add my old media center IR receiver and try to configure my harmony remote. I think it will do the job if I read correctly on this forum...
