Hello,

I've installed XBMC 9.11 b2, and I'm unable to see any movies. When I press play the screen turns black and I can only see the player buttons, the subtitles and ear the audio. This is happening with all skins.

What is missing ?

Lots can be happening, turn logging on from the Settings/system/debugging screen and paste your log here. The experts will be able to tell you whats going on most likely.

Probably missing a directx file, or a shader file of some kind. What is your hardware?

Had the same problem and fixed it by installing Directx End-User Runtimes (August 2009).
