Problem in getting Poster when reading nfo file in video_ts folder
#1
I have a large collection of DVD and Bluray and AVI on a bunch of NAS and have been using Ember Media to manage all the scrapper information so I have an NFO in every folder. Each movie is in separate folders.

Since the new alpha version I have this problem in getting the poster for the DVD in a video_ts folder. I am now using Beta 2 SVN25640 jaunty with no luck.

XBMC is reading all the NFO, gets all the fanart but will not get the posters when it is a DVD.

Here is an extract from the debug log:

I get this unix_err:'0' error : 'Success' message

File bin of the whole log file:

http://filebin.ca/okxjdh

I can see all the fanarts including from all the DVD in the .../thumbnails/videos/fanart but the posters are missing in .../thumbnails/videos/9 (I do see all the posters for the avi and blurays there)

If I get the thumb manually via the movie info window it works just fine but I need to get 450 of them so I would like to save some time!!!

Try copying the picture out and then back in to the folder.

Thanks John,

I assume that you mean I should remove the poster from the video_ts folder, do a scan in xbmc (remove movie from library and then scrap it in again) and then copy the poster back into the video_ts folder and repeat the scraping then see what happens.

Unless you think the poster files are corrupt and I should create a new poster file in the video_ts folder (without the extra scraping step)?

I will try tonight once back home.

My guess is there's something wrong with the filesystem, possibly a permissions problem.

Althought the porst is quite old as I could not find the anwear via google...
...this worked for me:

- Ember creates video_ts.tbn
- the error message is: ".../MOVIES/SD/Sahara%20%2d%20Abenteuer%20in%20der%20W%c3%bcste%20%282005%29/VIDEO%5fTS/VIDEO%5fTS%2etbn" "unix_err:'2' error : 'No such file or directory'"
-> VIDEO_TS.tbn: no such file or directory
-> for case sensitive platforms (e.g. UNIX, MAX OS, ...) VIDEO_TS.tbn does not exist if there is only a video_ts.tbn

-->rename all video_ts.tbn files to VIDEO_TS.tbn
-->reload the information (set content to none and then back to movies)

--> my script (for sure not the most elegant way Wink )

Code:
#! /bin/sh

PWD=`pwd`
echo "Working in $PWD"

find $PWD -name "video_ts.$1" | while read dat; do
        DIRN=`dirname "$dat"`
        EXTN=$1
        echo "move to: $DIRN/VIDEO_TS.$EXTN"
        NEWN=$DIRN/VIDEO_TS.$EXTN
        mv "$dat" "$NEWN"
done

--> call: <script_name> <extention>
--> eg. rename_all tbn

Hopefully that helps Wink
