I was wondering if the reason my Side scrolling and slow loading Thumbs and Fanart could be the result of having all my media stored on a "WD My Book 1TB" external HDD/USB.
My PC:
Nvidia ION 330 Atom
2GB Ram 512 Dedicated to the Ion
Windows 7 x64

Everything will be cached locally so it shouldn't be that unless you're using a skin that pulls images from the video folder.

So all the images for thumbs and fanart are stored locally? Good point. Thanks for the reply Hitcher I don't know why I didn't think that. Just one of those late nights. Guess the Atom just doesn't have enough umph. But Alaska is the best running skin on a atom yet, so great job Hitcher!

I've found that fanart heavy skins and large images can put a strain on my graphics hardware. I have a HD3200 integrated graphics chip on my motherboard. Pretty much on par with the 9400 series from nvidia.
The ion while a nice chip, isn't the fastest either :/
