Wow. XMBC is confusing!

I couldn't find any info in the Wiki, which looks like it could need some more work.

The question is very simple: When I use plex I can push ESC or the Menu-Button on the Apple-Remote or any iPhone-App with similar functionality to go up one level of the menu.

When I do this in XBMC I get back to the top leven (main menu). This is very distracting because it makes navigation pretty uncomfortable when I have to go back to the top of each menu just to go up one level in the menu-structure.

Maybe I'm missing something, maybe it's just a different key I have to use?

That's true, I didn't notice because I used the Rowmote Pro App for the iPhone (which is an excact copy of an Apple Remote but with much more functionality added). Strangely when I use the Menu-Button from this App I get back to the top level - as described in my initial post.

When I use the good ol' Apple Remote itself it works as you say.

Hmmm... Wonder what causes the Rowmote-App to behave different and if this can be fixed. (Guess its an issue of how the Rowmote software behaves). Besides: when in Plex, it behaves as supposed.

Update: Just did some further testing and Apple Remote is really behavong quite strange. Sometimes Menu butten goes up one level in the menu, but often it either opens FrontRow or Plex (depending on the Setting in Plex where Plex substitues FrontRow in this functionality). This makes it nearly impossible to decently use the Remote with XBMC.
