I enabled debug logging in XBMC to try and grab a log for a Trac ticket. There is no log in:

/usr/share/xbmc/userdata

AND

there is no long in /home/xbmc

I tried to enable this manually following the XBMC guide and it appears that Advancedsettings.xml does not exist!

Look in ~/.xbmc/temp for the log and you can make a file called advancedsettings.xml in ~/.xbmc/userdata
